Founder and CEO
Ken Green founded UnionTrack, Inc. in 2014 and Prestige Technologies, Inc. in 1998. Mr. Green is instrumental in organizing, leading, and managing the design and development teams for both UnionTrack and Prestige applications. He has been successful in customer and project management for over 30 years, including 22 years directly supporting unions. He has been involved in hundreds of international, national and local labor union application development projects and has extensive knowledge of the business practices and processes of membership organizations. Mr. Green strives to be a thought leader in the labor space and has been writing union related blogs for over two years ( https://www.uniontrack.com/blog/). Mr. Green is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Trainer and holds numerous hardware manufacturers' certifications.
President
Brad Schmelzer is a team member since September 2017. Mr. Schmelzer comes to UnionTrack with over 15 years of experience supporting labor unions and managing large multisite IT infrastructures. He also has been an active union member for 19 years. Mr. Schmelzer currently manages our IT Support and Engineer group and is responsible for deploying UnionTrack® ENGAGE™ to over 1,000 locations along with managing other large client accounts. In addition, Mr. Schmelzer has full authority over all task assignments, sprints, course corrections and decisions. Prior to joining the UnionTrack team, he held the position of Director of Information Systems at the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW). This included management of over 25 staff members including the IT Operations Team, IT Development Team and the IT Service Support Team. Mr. Schmelzer also managed a $7M annual budget, negotiated enterprise level agreements, and provided direct support to the IAMAW Executive Council. Along with numerous IT Certifications, Mr. Schmelzer also holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Information Systems) from Saint Leo University.
Client Success Manager
Christopher Nee is a team member since October 2011. Mr. Nee is responsible for the management and support of several large accounts. He is responsible for installing, supporting, configuring, and upgrading user workstations, system servers, and supporting network infrastructures to include Microsoft Azure environments. Mr. Nee is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with over 21 years' experience in systems support, almost all of which directly supporting labor unions. He was the Director of IT at the Transportation Communications Union (TCU) headquarters for 5 years where he directly supported over 100 end users and provided direct support to the Executive Staff. He has also been an active union member for 20 years. Mr. Nee holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from Mount Saint Mary's University.
Senior Software Engineer
Tom Gregory is a team member since January 2001. Mr. Gregory is the chief architect and developer for several of our core products: UnionTrack, PTI.Foundation, Ascerteon and PTI.Commerce. He has managed several large client/server and web applications efforts from design, development, testing, to deployment. He developed the Application Administration Module (AAM), Web Administration Module (WAM), and Ascerteon Web (the user web interface) for Ascerteon. Mr. Gregory has almost 30 years of experience (including 18 years supporting labor unions) in application and database design including: at the NCR Corporation world headquarters in Dayton, OH designing and developing applications to help manage the world-wide accounting processes for the company; the NCR Federal Division in Washington, DC, directly supporting the various financial, tactical and contract management application needs of the sales teams selling NCR equipment to the US Federal Government; and, at Sybase, Inc. (later bought by SAP) as a Principal Consultant for the Federal Professional Services Division working with Department of Defense clients on projects requiring senior-level PowerBuilder and web-based application development expertise. He holds certifications as a PowerBuilder Professional and SAP Sybase DBA. Mr. Gregory graduated cum laude from Indiana University with an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business.
Senior Developer
Matt Flynn is a team member since December 2010. Mr. Flynn has experience in full life-cycle application development in client/server and online environments to include authoring requirement documents, designing database objects and migrating data, developing rich front-end HTML and Javascript, testing, and deployment. He has over 18 years of experience in this capacity (8 of them in direct support of unions), working hand-in-hand with clients in active development and feedback loops, process improvement, and leading application trainings of all sizes. Mr. Flynn is one of the senior developers that transitioned the traditional UnionTrack software from a legacy client/server technology to a more modern web platform application. He also has experience in leading an IT department of 10-12, including developers, testers, and creative designers. Mr. Flynn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Maryland.
Creative Director
Neil Mackey has been a team member since April 2002. Mr. Mackey has an extensive background in corporate graphic design as well as front-end web development and user interface design. He has more than 28 years of experience in user experience, visual communications, and brand design management (18 of those supporting unions). His skills also include creative asset management, informational graphic design, and HTML/CSS code development. Having worked as a senior graphic designer and art director for such media giants as USA Today and America Online (AOL), Neil has a deep understanding of effective corporate design. This design wisdom, combined with over 7 years as Creative Director for several successful internet startups, gives Neil a unique perspective of the role design plays in a successful, modern organization. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism and Graphic Design from the Pennsylvania State University.
Backend Team Lead Developer
Jon Walmsley is a team member since February 2013. Mr. Walmsley is one of the senior architects of the ENGAGE™ platform and has also worked extensively on both the UnionTrack and Ascerteon products. He has over 15 years' experience in all aspects of building database driven applications (7 of them in direct support of unions) utilizing three-tier architecture, including user interface development, application development, backend development, data migration, integration, normalization, social media integration, reporting, automation, security, and messaging. Mr. Walmsley is primarily a C# developer and has expertise in many of Microsoft's software development tools and services, including Visual Studio, .NET Framework, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Web Services, Azure Dev Ops, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Web API 2.0..
Senior Developer
Brad King is a team member since December 2020. Mr. King is on the front-end development team tasked with design, development, and adding new features and functionality, along with bug testing for our core products. He has 15 years' experience in front-end development with close interaction on projects with backend developers and designers. He recently was involved in developing an Angular Application using Bootstrap, SASS, HTML5, and Restful Web Services. He has other extensive experience with Angular development working on Angular Templates, Directives, Routing, Components, Services, Pipes, and Data Binding using additional tools such as Kendo, Webpack, and PrimeNg. Mr. King has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama - Huntsville and an Associate degree in Studio Arts from Jefferson State Community College. .
Software Engineer
Julie Mattingly is a team member since January 2016. Ms. Mattingly has over 25 years' experience in all stages of system development including requirements definition, design, coding, database administration, testing and production support, including 6 years supporting labor unions. She is skilled in various programming tools and has supported both small and large scaled projects with Hewlett Packard. Ms. Mattingly holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Cloud State University.
Senior Software Engineer
David Cervenan is a team member since April 2021. Mr. Cervenan is a senior software engineer responsible for the development and support of our core products: UnionTrack, PTI.Foundation, Ascerteon, and PTI.Commerce. He has 26 years of experience in large client/server, 3-tier architecture and web application and database design, development, testing, to deployment with a wide range of industries including MRP, finance, insurance, point of sale, banking, and healthcare. Some of David's other previous experience includes development and support of large government healthcare systems for Xerox, Inc. and CompuGroup Medical; as well as development and support of banking software for Credit Suisse Bank which required senior-level PowerBuilder and web-based application development expertise. Mr. Cervenan holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Management Information Systems degree from Wayne State University.
Engage Training & Support Coordinator
Becky Miller is a team member since November 2019. She provides support for our UnionTrack clients on the phone and our online support ticketing portal. Ms. Miller also creates help documentation for many clients using both the ENGAGE and SMART Platforms. Ms. Miller brings 30 years' experience with large companies and government agencies in training, internal help documentation, problem solving and customer service.

Matt Bruffey has been a team member since November 2023. Mr. Bruffey graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He has an extensive background in sales with 6+ years' experience within the CRM software industry. His skills include customer needs analysis, relationship building, sales strategy planning, and prospecting. His role is to identify and generate new opportunities for the UnionTrack team.
